GENERAL TERMS
All prices are inclusive of GST. Payment accepted via cash / cheque / direct deposit / EFTPOS / Visa / Master Card / AMEX (1.5% surcharge applies to all EFT & credit card payments). Children’s pricing is 70% of adult pricing for buffet menus only.
EQUIPMENT
Some events might need additional equipment, such as a kitchen marquee or lighting. We will arrange the hire on your behalf but will not be responsible for any damages or shortages related to the rented equipment. Additionally, CaterMe is not liable for any injuries resulting from the use of this equipment. All equipment and other property used for delivery, serving, storage, and presentation of food remain the property of CaterMe and will be collected the day following the event unless otherwise agreed upon. Bond payments are part of the 25% deposit, and separate terms and conditions will apply for third-party hire companies. The bond will be reconciled within 7 *business days after the event.
STAFF/TRAVEL COSTS
Staff assigned to functions and events will work within the agreed-upon times. However, unexpected situations beyond the control of CaterMe, like prolonged speeches or service delays, might require extending staff hours, potentially incurring additional charges at the standard staff rates. For events outside metropolitan areas, travel expenses will be applicable. For more information, our office staff will be happy to provide specific details when you inquire.
PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
CaterMe has a surcharge of 20% on food & 75% surcharge on staff on public holidays (in line with recent award changes)..
RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL
CaterMe is committed to the Responsible Service of Alcohol. In line with our liquor license regulations, we reserve the right to refuse service to individuals who appear to be under eighteen or who exhibit signs of intoxication. We also retain the right to remove any disruptive guests from the premises or to shut down the bar if the situation warrants it.
Bringing Your Own Beverages at a established venue:
A licensing fee of $5.50 per person will apply. Since Ultimo is a full-service food and beverage caterer with a Special Facilities Liquor License, we cover the associated liability and costs.
Bringing Your Own Beverages at a Private Residence:
No licensing fee will be charged.
Beverage Management Service Option:
Whether at established venues or private residence, you can opt for CaterMe to manage your beverages. This includes receiving your beverage order at our facility, storing, chilling, and delivering them to your event for a fee of $300.
Using CaterMe:
No licensing fee and no handling labour fee apply.
DELIVERED CATERING FOOD HANDLING
All food products are delivered ready to be served, we do not support reheating or any other food handling by a customer and therefore take no responsibility if a customer handles food items without CaterMe’s advice. If for requested reasons a customer chooses to have the food delivered cold or not ready to serve reheating instructions will be provided by CaterMe.
MARKETING DISCLAIMER
By attending a CaterMe event, you enter an area where photography and videography may take place. CaterMe will always obtain permission from the event organizer or client to have an photographer present. By entering the event premises, you and your guests consent to the use of such photographic content for marketing and promotional purposes.
FOOD SAFETY
CaterMe adheres to strict guidelines regarding the health and hygiene of our staff and our food preparation practices. Our operations are conducted in kitchens that follow a comprehensive food safety plan, with a food safety supervisor present at all onsite catered events, functions, and weddings. Please note that CaterMe is not responsible for food that is requested to be left behind or taken after an event, function or wedding. While we strive to inform guests about dietary components in our menu items, all food is prepared in a commercial kitchen where trace amounts of seafood, nuts, and other allergens may be present. Although we make every effort to meet your dietary needs, due to the way our products are handled by us and our suppliers, we cannot guarantee the complete exclusion of items such as gluten, nuts, seeds, and other allergens, which might contain traces of these elements. CaterMe assumes no responsibility for any allergic reactions.
QUOTES IN ADVANCE
For functions taking place over 6 months from the date originally quoted and/or confirmed, there may be an increase in the price of food, beverages, staffing, equipment or potential price increases by our suppliers. Therefore, for any pending or confirmed bookings, CaterMe reserves the right within the 3 months prior to the event date, if required. A price increase of up to 10% (and no more than 10%), may be applied at this time.
FORCE MAJEURE
Any delay or failure in the performance by CaterMe shall be excused if and to the extent caused by the occurrence of a Force Majeure. For purposes of this Contract, Force Majeure shall mean a cause or event that is not reasonably foreseeable or otherwise caused by or under the control of the Party claiming Force Majeure, including extreme weather, fires, floods, explosions, riots, accidents, governmental acts, injunctions, power failures, labour strikes or COVID-19.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation of a booking must be received in writing. CaterMe reserves the right to withhold all or part of, as outlined below.
20 *business days and over prior to confirmed date, fee 10% of total quoted charges
10-20 *business days prior to confirmed date, fee 25% of total quoted charges
10 *business days and less prior to confirmed date, fee 70% of total quoted charges
*Business days = Monday to Friday, excluding Public Holidays
PAYMENTS
All quoted orders for events, functions, and weddings require a 25% deposit to secure our services and reserve the date. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the event, at which time we'll finalise guest numbers and menu choices. Full payment must be confirmed 10 *business days before your event. Guest numbers can be increased up to 48 hours before the function.

POSTPONEMENT
Requests to postpone a booking must be submitted in writing. The new booking date should fall within 12 months of the original date unless agreed in writing, and it will depend on availability. All payments made will be transferred to the new event date. CaterMe reserves the right to retain a portion or all of the deposit to cover administrative and service costs already incurred. Additionally, there may be an increase in the cost of food, beverages, staffing, equipment, or other expenses due to price changes by our suppliers. A price increase of up to 10% may be applied under these circumstances.
